Brunch mocktails have a reputation problem. Show up to brunch not drinking and you usually end up with a glass of OJ, a sparkling water with lime, or something labeled a virgin cocktail that tastes like it was made with leftover ingredients. None of those are drinks worth having.
Here are six brunch mocktail recipes that are genuinely worth making. They look stunning, scale easily for a crowd, and will not make anyone who is not drinking feel like they drew the short straw.
What Makes a Good Brunch Mocktail
- Visual appeal: Brunch is a visual meal. The drinks need to look as good as the food.
- Flavor complexity: Without alcohol, you need more going on: multiple flavor elements, contrasting notes, interesting garnishes.
- The right carbonation: Sparkling drinks feel more festive than still drinks.
- Easy to scale: The best mocktail recipes make a whole pitcher at once, not one drink at a time.
Recipe 1: Classic Pineapple Mimosa Mocktail
The mimosa is the defining brunch drink, so the mocktail version has to be excellent or the whole effort fails. This one is.
Ingredients (per glass):
- 1 packet OFTN Pineapple Mimosa mix
- 6oz non-alcoholic sparkling wine or sparkling water
- Fresh pineapple chunk for garnish, sprig of mint
Method: Chill your champagne flute in the freezer for 10 minutes. Pour the OFTN packet into the flute. Slowly pour the sparkling wine or water down the inside of the glass to preserve carbonation. Stir gently once. Garnish with pineapple and mint.
For a pitcher: Mix 6 packets of OFTN Pineapple Mimosa with 1 bottle of NA sparkling wine and 1 cup of sparkling water. Keep refrigerated until serving.

Recipe 2: Watermelon Rose Spritz
This is the mocktail that gets photographed. The pale pink color from watermelon combined with rose water creates something visually striking that looks like a sophisticated aperitivo.
Ingredients (per glass):
- 1 packet OFTN Watermelon Margarita mix
- 4oz sparkling water, 2oz rose water (food-grade from baking aisle)
- Fresh lime squeeze, ice, edible flower or lime wheel
Method: Fill a wine glass with ice. Mix the OFTN packet with sparkling water in a small pitcher. Add the rose water and lime. Pour over ice. Garnish with edible flower or lime wheel. Start with 1oz rose water and adjust to taste as concentrations vary by brand.
Recipe 3: Yuzu Ginger Green Tea Spritz
For the crowd that wants something different from standard fruit-forward brunch drinks. The combination of yuzu, ginger, and green tea is genuinely complex and interesting.
Ingredients (per glass):
- 1 packet OFTN Yuzu Ginger Mule mix
- 3oz chilled green tea (brew strong, let cool), 3oz sparkling water
- Ice, cucumber slice and mint for garnish
Method: Brew green tea double strength and refrigerate overnight. Fill a glass with ice. Mix the OFTN packet with the cold green tea. Top with sparkling water. Garnish with cucumber and mint. The green tea adds an earthy, slightly bitter note that grounds the bright yuzu flavor.
Recipe 4: Pineapple Ginger Mango Punch (Pitcher)
This is the large-format showstopper. Make it in a big punch bowl, fill it with ice and fresh fruit, and let people serve themselves.
Ingredients (serves 8-10):
- 4 packets OFTN Pineapple Mimosa mix
- 2 packets OFTN Yuzu Ginger Mule mix
- 1 liter sparkling water, 500ml mango juice (100% juice, no added sugar)
- Juice of 2 limes, fresh pineapple chunks, lime wheels, mint
Method: Mix all OFTN packets with the mango juice and lime juice. Add the sparkling water right before serving so it doesn't go flat. Add a large block of ice or ice ring. Float pineapple, lime wheels, and mint on top.
Recipe 5: Skinny Watermelon Agua Fresca
Agua fresca is a Mexican refreshment tradition that deserves more attention at brunch. Light, hydrating, and perfectly suited to hot weather brunch situations, this version gets an electrolyte upgrade from OFTN.
Ingredients (per glass):
- 1 packet OFTN Watermelon Margarita mix
- 6oz cold still water, fresh lime squeeze
- 3-4 fresh mint leaves, ice, watermelon wedge for garnish
Method: Mix the OFTN packet with cold still water and lime juice. Fill a tall glass with ice. Pour in the mixture. Add mint leaves and a watermelon wedge. See our skinny watermelon margarita recipe for more low-sugar brunch drink options.
Recipe 6: The Everything Mocktail Bar
Instead of making a specific mocktail, set up a self-serve bar with all three OFTN flavors, sparkling water, NA sparkling wine, fresh citrus, herbs, and garnishes. Let guests build their own combinations.
What to stock:
- All three OFTN flavors: Watermelon Margarita, Pineapple Mimosa, Yuzu Ginger Mule
- Sparkling water, NA sparkling wine
- Fresh citrus: lime, lemon, orange
- Herbs: mint, basil, rosemary
- Garnishes: cucumber slices, fruit wedges, edible flowers
The OFTN Variety Pack is the most efficient way to stock all three flavors at once.
Brunch Mocktail Presentation Tips
- Chill your glasses for 15 minutes in the freezer before serving
- Use champagne flutes for mimosa-style drinks even without alcohol
- Garnish generously — fresh herbs, fruit wheels, and edible flowers take 30 seconds and transform the presentation
